Modern News: Lemme Know When The Book Comes Out

I hate the medium of modern news so much.

Here’s how I find out about current events:

*walks in on volatile Twitter argument*

*stares uncomprehendingly as WW3 erupts*

*scrolls through comments*

*still doesn’t know what started the argument*

*stalks accounts of 3 people involved*

*still doesn’t know what actually happened*

*asks what I think is a simple question*

*4 people jump on me for taking “the other side”*

*denies taking a side*

*4 people jump on me for /not/ taking a side*

*backs away slowly*

*turns to Google*

*doesn’t even know what to Google–“why is everyone angry??”*

*reads 3 angry blog posts with links to –finally! an original post*

*no longer has time to read it since it took so long to find it*

Ironically, I feel like I’m always reading current history backwards. I hear about reactions to events before I hear about the events themselves.

Just lemme know when the book comes out, k?
