Alaska’s Wild Plants

When I travel, I don’t just look for the tourist landmarks, I note the flowers and trees. The color, texture, smell–essence of a place. I like to buy a wildflower guidebook wherever I go and take home a little of every place I visit.

This guidebook I purchased in Skagway, Alaska and used to identify the plants I photographed and stuck in my nature journal.

You see, but do you observe?

  1. Emily! I love your nature travel journals. These are so creative and beautiful. I love that your love for nature from a little girl has blossomed into a lifelong appreciation of observation of nature. ~Love, Mom
